Tara Alisha Berry is an Indian film and theater actress, known for her works in Bollywood and Telugu-language film. She started out with a music video with Shaan, called Khudgarzi, produced by Eros in 2011. Her debut Hindi film was Mastram.
Her next release was Chokher Bali, directed by Anurag Basu, which aired on Epic Channel in 2015 as part of a series called Stories by Rabindranath Tagore. On 11 September 2015, her film The Perfect Girl, directed by Prakash Nambiar, was released.
Tara was then signed on by Vishesh Films for a three film deal. Her first Vishesh Films release is Love Games, directed by Vikram Bhatt produced by Vishesh Films and T-Series, which has already created curiosity and has been in the news.
Tara Berry was born in 1988, the daughter of Gautam Berry, a golfer and affluent businessman, by his second wife Nandini. Gautam Berry had previously been married to Kirron Kher and had a son, born as Sikandar Berry but later known as Sikandar Kher, by that marriage. Thus, Tara and Sikandar are half-siblings and they have a common father, Gautam Berry. Tara's father died in early 2013. Her maternal uncle (Nandini's brother) is married to a cousin of Sharmila Tagore.
Tara Berry completed her schooling in Bangalore and then studied Film Production and Screenwriting at Chapman University in Orange County, California where she did a Method acting course. After returning to Mumbai she trained for 4 months at Kreating Charakters and did a 3 week Intensive Drama Program held by Theatre Professionals.
